Introduction

Born in Korkenhagen, Kreis Naugard, Pomerania, to Christian Friedrich Wilhelm Fehling and Dorothea Spreemann, she married Carl FW Zuege on 11 Nov 1841. Mother of Johann FW (1841), Dorothea (1843-1843), Carl (1844), Ernestine W (1846), August (1848-49), Minnie (1850), Augustine WF (1853), Pauline (1855), Franz (1858) and Bertha (1860-67). After the death of Bertha, Reka and Carl Zuege left Pomerania for the US, eventually living in Berlin, WI. The last census entry for her is in the 1892 Berlin City Directory, where she was living on the farm with the extended family, so it is assumed that she died between 1892 and 1900. Her remains are probably buried on the family farm.
