Richard was a very intelligent man who knew he wanted to be a doctor from very young. He met Lucy while doing additional med studies in Belgium. They did not have kids, but always a dog and a cat. Richard’s sister is Margaret Andraso who married Charles L. Perkins. Richards father was George Andraso and mother Mary Kostry. They moved from Steubenville OH to Pittsburgh PA when Richard was in high school. He went to Scott High. Richard suffered from diabetes, eventually losing both his legs to it but continued to practice medicine to the end of his life when the diabetes caused his organs to fail. Richard was a quiet yet funny man with a big heart.
