    Duncan Robert Gilmore was born to George Robert Gilmore (1910 - 1987) and Elinore Lydia Nixon (1912 - 1990). He had two brothers, Roger and Douglas Gilmore, who survived him. Duncan Gilmore married Patricia Ann Summers (1941 - 1983). He had two sons, Derek and Thomas and three daughters, Jeannie, Kimberly, and Leslie. When he died, had four grandsons.
