Introduction

He was married to Judith Carol Smith for 19 years. Together they had four children. Steven Scott Commee, born 04.21.1957, Dee Ann Commee, born 01.09.1959, Bryan William Commee, born 11.08.1976 and Joseph Daniel Commee, born 08.20.1969. Judith filed for divorce in 1976. Durwood married Patricia Krueger (?) and remained with her from 1976 until his death in 1999. Judith married Karl E. Lake in 1979 (?). They filed and fought for adoption of Bryan and Joe. The year was approximately 1981. There was nothing he could do but sign those papers. The tragedy is that those two young men believed they were sold. It is now 2014, and both of them still believe that lie. So sad! My father's heart ached over this until the day he died. I want to say so much more on this matter but I will not!!! What's done is done! My heart has forgiven my Mother for all she did to cause so much pain in all the lives of her children. God is so loving! Sometimes I actually do have clarity and have compassion for us all. Steven Scott Commee, first born son, died May of 1999 -cause of death-suicide. Written by Dee Ann Menzie (Commee) only daughter of this family. Today I am Happy, Joyous and Free (08.06.2014).

Severe Heart attack in 1988, Myasthia Gravitas causing severe wreaking of muscles. It was amazing he was able to live 11 more years. Most of which were very good healthiest.
