Earl Burton of Pryor, Mayes County, Oklahoma was born on June 11, 1895 in Arkansas United States to Edward Russell Lowell Burton and Cora J Hankins. He had siblings Anna Mae (Burton), Charles Arvil Burton, and Lloyd Herbert Burton. He married Retha Burton, and they were married until Earl's death on September 17, 1979. Earl Burton had children Norah Uthe, Edith "Edie" Menge, Earl Hugh Burton, Phyllis Drake, Ralph Burton, Eldee McDonald, and Bonnie Long Jeans.
