Introduction

I remember meeting Easter as a very young girl. She was friends with my family before they moved from Pennsylvania to California, and my grandmother was so fond of her. Aunt Easter's stories of the Frick family fascinated me. I'll never forget her homegrown tomatoes, her incredible chicken gravy, and her warm kindness. (I don't know if she had children but if any of her relatives are out there, I'd love to hear from you!)
