Edgar George Opizzi was born to Cesear and Santina (Pattarini) Opizzi and had brother Ugo Opizzi and sister Lena Fitzpatrick of Manchester. He married Anne (Giacopassi) Opizzi and lived at 42 Andor in Manchester Connecticut. According to his World War 2 Registration card that he filled out on October 16 1940, he worked at Cheney Bros, weighed 140 pounds, had a dark complexion, brown eyes & hair, was 5' 8" tall and lived at 73 Cottage St. Manchester Connecticut with his father.

The following appeared in the Hartford Courant in Hartford Connecticut on Thursday June 17 1999 OPIZZI, Edgar George Edgar George Opizzi, 89, of Manchester died Tuesday (June 15, 1999) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in New York City, NY on January 22, 1910, the son of the late Cesear and Santina (Pattarini) Opizzi, he had lived in Manchester for many years. Edgar formerly worked at Cheney Brother's and was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Army and Navy Club and the Manchester Senior Citizens. He was predeceased by his wife Anne (Giacopassi) Opizzi and his brother Ugo Opizzi. He is survived by a sister, Lena Fitzpatrick of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:45 a.m. from the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 West Center St., Manchester followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Church with burial in St. James Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home TODAY from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m..
