Edith Smith was buried on February 12, 1896 at Dromana Cemetery in Arthurs Seat, Mornington Peninsula Shire County.

    The Age, Melbourne, 11 February 1896. SMITH.- On the 10th inst., at Acland-street, St.Kilda, Edith Annie, the dearly beloved wife of John Smith and second daughter of Jonah Griffith, Dromana. At rest. The Age, Melbourne, January 1894. MARRIAGE. SMITH. - GRIFFITH. On the 26th December, at St. Mark's Church Dromana, by the Rev. F.W. Willcox, John Smith, of St.Kilda, to Edith, second daughter of Jonah Griffith, of Dromana. The Age, Melbourne, 11 February 1896. SMITH. - The Friends of Mr. JOHN SMITH are respectfully notified that the remains of his dearly beloved wife will leave per train for Mornington on WEDNESDAY, 12th February at 8 a.m., and from there to place of interment, Dromana Cemetery.
