Edith Annie (Griffith) Smith of Dromana Australia was born in 1873 in Dromana, VIC to Jonah Griffith and Sarah Ann (Sawyer) Griffith. She had siblings Grace Dora (Griffith) Cairns, Maud Alice Griffith, Frederick George Sylvester Griffith, Delia Sarah (Griffith) Guest, Gertrude Griffith, and Harry Lewis Griffith. She married John Timothy Smith, and died at age 22 years old on February 10, 1896 at Acland street, in St Kilda. Edith Smith was buried on February 12, 1896 at Dromana Cemetery in Arthurs Seat, Mornington Peninsula Shire County.
