Edna (Prestenbach) Stone was born to Gustave Prestenbach (1862 - 1942) and Emma Gautreaux (1867 - 1946). She had siblings Gertrude, Pauline, Alma, Sydney, Edward Joseph, Urban, Clarence, and Agnes. Edna Prestenbach married William Stone (1882 - 1938) in 1907. They had children Ida May Stone (1908 - 1981) and Ruth (born 1906). See Edna Stone: Obituary.

The following obituary appeared in The Times-Picayune (New Orleans, Louisiana) on Saturday, July 23, 1966: Wife of the late William Stone. Mother of Mrs. George Fenton of Palestine, Texas. Sister of Mrs. J. J. Hebert of Morgan City, Mrs. Edward Broussard of Burwick, La.., Mrs. Albert Robicheaux of Palestine, Tex., and Sidney Prestenbach of Morgan City. Survived by three grandchildren.
