Edward Sadurski died at age 59 years old on August 22, 2008, and was buried at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan USA.

Dr. E. Alan Sadurski, 59, Ada, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 after a year long battle with pancreatic cancer, at Richland Manor, Bluffton. He was born June 12, 1949 in Detroit, MI to Edward Stanley and Catherine (Diehl) Sadurski. His mother survives in Troy, MI. He married Gailyn Klem on Feb. 26, 2000 and she survives in Ada. Also surviving is a son, Stephen Edward (Rachel) Sadurski of Tipp City; two step-sons: Jason David Klem of Phoenix, AZ and Matthew Christian Klem of Phoenix, AZ; one daughter, Anna (Greg) Heier of Columbus; a cousin, Berry Moore of St. Augustine, FL; a sister-in-law, Lori (Stan) Karcz of Plainfield, IL; a brother-in-law, Doug (Holly) Sowter of Lisle, IL; three grandchildren, Jacob, Emma and Alyson Klem, all of Phoenix, AZ; a niece, Megan McGhee of Chicago, Il; and a nephew, David Bertone of Plainfield, IL. He resided in Ada for the past 28 years. Alan attended Cass High School, Detroit, Michigan, and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Oakland University in Oakland, Michigan in 1971; and his doctorate from the University of Michigan's Wayne State University in 1978. He was a visiting assistant professor at Miami University in Ohio during 1979-80, a graduate teaching assistant at Wayne State University from 1972-75 and an instructor at Michigan Christian College (now Rochester Christian college) from 1970-1972. He has been a tenured Professor of Chemistry at Ohio Northern University for the past 28 years. Alan was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed both fishing and hunting. He had a passion for music and was an active member of the Lima Symphony Chorus, Bluffton Chorale, Concentus, Springfield Choral Arts and the ONU Men's Chorus. He had also played trumpet and had played in the ONU Jazz Ensemble, and performed with the Salvation Army Staff Band in Colorado. Alan was an active and contributing member of the American Chemical Society since 1966. Alan collected antique crystal and had been a member of both the Cambridge and Heisey glass clubs. Alan was an active member at the Crossroads Church of God. Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 25, at Crossroads Church of God, 775 S. Thayer Rd., Lima., with Pastor Randall Bargerstock officiating. A Memorial Service and burial was at the Chapel of the Psalms, White Chapel Cemetery, 621 West Long Lake Rd., Troy, Michigan on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
