    Edward Capolongo was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 28, 1913, the youngest of ten children, of Italian heritage. He grew up there, studied music with several professors, and learned to play the violin and the tenor saxophone. He married Louise ( D'Avanzo ) in 1939 and had four children: Edward, Albert, Neil and Dennis. His was a professional musician. He went to The Fashion Institute of Technology to learn the art of clothing design, and got a job designing women's coats at a major manufacturer in New York. He and the family moved to Jamaica, Queens, NY in 1951, and Holliswood, Queens, NY in 1964 where he remained until his death on Christmas Eve, 1974.
