Edward Charles Newport of Richmond, City of Yarra County, VIC Australia was born circa 1860 in Melbourne to Charles James Newport and Charlotte Glanville Newport. He had siblings Clara Ivy Lottie (Newport) Wastell, Emma Maria (Newport) Higgins, Arthur Henry Newport, Walter Frederick Newport, and Mark Percy Newport. He married Annie Eville Newport in 1901, and had children Albert Edward Newport, Ruby Rose Victoria Dobson, Herbert Henry Newport, and Norman Charles Newport. Edward Newport died at age 63 years old on September 25, 1924 in Richmond.
