    Obituary Image Monson-Edward J. Schetzel, 83, died Friday, August 5, 2016. Edward was born December 22, 1932 in Ware, MA to the late Edward and Julia (Josephiac) Schetzel. He was a graduate of Monson High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. Edward retired from AG Miller in Springfield after many years. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, a lifetime member of the Quaboag Riders, a member of the American Legion in Monson, an avid Boston Bruins fan and he loved traveling to Maine. Edward leaves his wife of fifty years, Anita, F. (Doyle) Schetzel and their children; Julie Nothe and her husband John of Monson, William Schetzel and his wife Monique of Springfield, Francis Schetzel of Monson and Bernard James Schetzel and his wife Amy of Ware; brother James Schetzel and his wife Constance of Clinton, CT; sister in-law Linda Schetzel of Utah, two grandchildren and many extended family members. Ed was predeceased by his brother Ronald Schetzel. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 4-7 in Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 beginning at 10 am in Lombard Funeral Home followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in St Patrick's Church in Monson. Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery in Monson. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church Restoration Fund PO Box 473 Monson, MA 01057.
