Edward Neilson Mason was born in 1910 in Waterloo, Council of the City of Sydney County, NSW Australia to Arthur Neilson Mason and Elizabeth Mary Egan, and had a brother Neil Mason. He married Beatrice Louisa (Leer) Mason in 1935, and had a child Carol Louise Mason. Edward Mason died at age 79 years old on January 17, 1990 in Cronulla, Sutherland Shire County.
