He was in a relationship with Grace M. (Wildes) Dries, and had children Grace M. Dries, Barbara Jean Dries, and Ruth Kennedy. Edward Dries died at age 59 years old on May 9, 1967, and was buried at Franklin Memorial Park 1800 NJ-27, in North Brunswick Township, Middlesex County, NJ.
