He was the parent of Eddye M. (Medina) Suarez. He married Mary J Arriaga, and they had children Ronald Medina, Eddye Medina Suarez, Patricia Darlene Medina-Ruiz, and Marilyn Medina Rodriguez. Edward Medina died at age 81 years old on March 25, 2006, and was buried in March 2006 at Forest Park Cemetery in Houston.
