Eliza Farrell died at age 73 years old on December 8, 1895 in Fitzroy, City of Yarra County, VIC Australia, and was buried at Melbourne General Cemetery in Carlton North, City of Melbourne County, Victoria.

    Eliza Jane (Kearney) Farrell was born to William James Kearney (1802 - 1856) and Jane Steel, born 1795, in circa 1821 in Armagh, Northern Ireland. Her father was born in Northern Ireland and her mother was born in Ireland. Eliza Jane married Edward Johnston Farrell (1827 - 1862) on December 4th, 1850 in Ireland and they had children Ellen Marion (1854 - 1881), Edward Johnston Farrell (1863 - 1935), Isabella Jane (1858 - 1902), and Erin Steele Farrell (1860 - 1879). She and her family immigrated to New South Wales, Australia in 1854 and the family remained in Victoria, Australia for the remainder of their lives. Eliza Farrell died at around the age of 73 in Fitzroy, Australia and is buried in Melbourne General Cemetery in Carlton North, City of Melbourne County, Victoria, Australia.

When she was 18 years old, she was incarcerated in Grange-Gorman Female Prison in Dublin Ireland, on April 21st, 1839, for "disturbing the peace." When she was 26 years old, she was imprisoned in the same jail for the second time. This was on November 22nd, 1847 in Dublin. The third time in the same prison was when she was 32 years old, on November 23rd, 1854. Eliza Jane arrived in New South Wales, Australia on December 19th, 1854 along with her family. She and her husband, Edward Johnston Farrell, had married in Northern Ireland but they lived the rest of their lives in Victoria, Australia.
