In 1921 Eli and May married. The couple moved to Morgan Place where they purchased small a 3 room cabin, formally used as construction shelter for workers building the Englewood Dam. After serval years and many hours of work Eli converted the cabin into a comfortable 6 room house for his (wife and 4 children) family. At the time of the 1930's census Eli was a veneer cutter. He then went on to become a retired employee of Frigidaire Corp. and a member of the 25 yr. club. Eli was also a member of the Highway Auxiliary Patrol and American Legion Post 707 of Englewood Ohio.

Eli Zack was born Nov. 13, 1896 to Henery Sherman Nevels and Lucy Jane Lowery of Burnside Kentucky. On Dec. 24, 1921 he married May C. Case. Of this union there were born 4 children, Lloyd Eugene, Doris Jean, Ronald J (Ronnie) and Phyllis Ann. May passed at the early age of 46 in 1951. Eli continued to live in the family's home till his passing in 1986 at the age 71. May was a loving, giving, selfless person, dedicating her life to Christ early on and living his word in her daily work. Eli a hardworking man providing for his family worked as a veneer cuter, then worked 25 years for Frigidaire Corsp. before retirement. Like May he was always willing to lend a helping hand earning him the name "pappaw" to all in the small community of Morgan Place. Eli was a man of many talents. After he and May married, they bought a small 3 room cabin that was formerly used as construction shelter for workers building the Englewood Dam. Eli built it into a 6 room house for his family. Eli was a veteran of WW 1 his Army Jacket and group photo are on permanent display at the Randolph Township Historical Society Museum in Englewood Ohio 114 Valleyview Dr.
