Elide "Chune" Abshire was born on June 27, 1897 to Magloire Abshire and Anatile (Trahan) Abshire, and had siblings Leo Abshire, Eledier Abshire, Adonis Abshire, Adam Abshire, Theodore Paul Abshire, Clotile (Abshire) Fontenot, Ermise (Abshire) Gaudet, Theozia Abshire, Milton Joseph Abshire, and Sidney Abshire. Elide Abshire died at age 63 years old on November 14, 1960.
