I do not have a lot of info on Elizabeth Chelius, however I am more familiar with her parents, Michael & Hannah (Dooley) Kelley; and Hannah's parents Daniel Dooley and Elizabeth (Derk) Dooley. Daniel and Elizabeth are my gg grandparents. Elizabeth Kelley Chelius appears to have been born in Shamokin, PA. In the 1870 census you can find her as "Lizzie Kelley," age 1 in Daniel Dooley's entry, although the census taker has her mother as Hannah Dooley, rather than her married name, Kelley. Michael Kelley and Lizzie are shown below the Dooleys. Daniel was an Irish immigrant who came to America 28 May 1838 according to his application for citizenship in the Northumberland County Courthouse, however I've not been able to confirm that date. The Derks had been in PA since before 1740. As I said I can't be a lot of help on Elizabeth Chelius, but I can give you more on her ancestors. Carolyn Larkins
