Ellen Theresa (Gargan) Rice of Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Australia was born in 1879 in Barkstead, Moorabool Shire County, VIC to Simon Gargan and Anne (Guilson) Gargan. She married Walter Cecil Rice, and had children Eileen May Rice, Myrtle Marie Rice, Laura Ann Rice, Cecil James Rice, Gilbert Thomas Rice, Thelma Agnes Rice, Gilbert Thomas Rice, Bernard Charles Vincent Rice, and Walter Douglas Rice. Ellen Rice died at age 71 years old on December 1, 1951, and was buried at Melbourne General Cemetery College Cres, in Parkville, City of Melbourne County.
