Barbara Michael & John W. Toban With A Daughter
John served in the Civil War from 25 Feb 1865-21 Sep 1865 in the 188th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company E. He married Barbara on Oct 23, 1867 and had seven children: Margaret C. who married George Wise: Daniel O. who married Florence Murray; Matilda who married Wesley Carman; Emma L. who married Harry Smith; Lizzie D. who married William Carman; William J. who married Lelia [Russell?]; and Elsie E. who married Harvey Eastman. It is presumed that the young lady here is Elsie E. Toban, their youngest daughter. Barbara died April 13, 1915 and John on Jan 18, 1923, both in Meigs County, Ohio, and are buried at the Horner Hill Cemetery there.
