She was married to Patrick John Sheehan, and had children Thomas Harold Sheehan, William Dennis Sheehan, John Patrick Sheehan, James Morris Sheehan, Annie Amelia Sheehan, Ellen Lillian Sheehan, Margaret May Sheehan, and Maryann Theodora Sheehan. Emily Amelia Sheehan died at age 82 years old in 1941 in Randwick, and was buried in 1941 in Murrumburrah.
