She had siblings Elizabeth JoycePodbury Macnicol (1901-1989), Sarah Edith Podbury (1904-1905), and Mariorie Joan Podbury Weller (1913-1992). She married Robert Bruce Williams in 1935.

Edith passed away on January 23, 1950 at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital in Exeter, Devon, England.
