Emmett James Kilgore Jr was born in September 1898 in Pomona, Spalding County, GA to Emmett James Kilgore Sr and Emily Ophelia Brooks, and had siblings Elizabeth Ophelia Kilgore, Ethel Kilgore, Grace Kilgore, Henry Otis Kilgore, and Susan Opal Kilgore. He married Naomi Alice Latta Kuzma, and had children Robert Otis Kilgore and Emily Ann Kilgore. Emmett Kilgore died at age 46 years old on June 14, 1945 in Griffin.
