Eric Ronald Mitting was born on July 22, 1932 to William Thomas "Harold" Mitting and Flora Elaine (Howells) Mitting, and had siblings Valda Jean (Mitting) Johnson, Allan Mitting, Phyllis Elaine (Mitting) Mason, Ernest Frank Mitting, Evan Harold Mitting, and John Mervyn Thornton Mitting. He married Shirley Joan (Firth) Mitting, and had children Lisa (Mitting) McLeod, Gillian (Mitting) Casey, Cheryl Ann Mitting, and Ken Mitting. Eric Mitting died at age 82 years old on May 30, 2015, and was buried at Frankston Memorial Park 63 Cranbourne Rd, in Frankston, Frankston City County, VIC Australia.
