I went to School with her from Elementary School until High School, then our paths went separate directions and I never ran into her again after that. I came across a book, just a few days ago, which our 2nd grade Teacher, Mrs. Hopson, had published when we were probably 7 years old. Our Teacher had published the hand-written stories that we 2nd-graders wrote. The book was titled, "Hopson's Honies". As I read the silly stories of my old classmates from 28 years ago, I came-across Erma's story, which she wrote about God & about how much she loved to sing to GOD & to praise Him. I remembered her genuine spirit & it was laid on my heart to search for her. So, here I am, searching for her, and I'm saddened to find out that I won't be finding her on Facebook or nearby because I waited too long!
I can't believe she is gone! I wonder how she perished? She has left us so early; at such a young age. I'm sorry that I didn't keep in touch with her. My heart goes-out to her family! She was such a special soul. I would like to give her family a copy of that story that Erma wrote in 2nd grade, as a remembrance of her. She is in Heaven now, with God, and I feel very blessed to have known her during her sorry time with us in this life.
