Ernest John Werge Chambers 1855 - 1934

Ernest John Werge Chambers was born on May 12, 1855 in Heidelberg, Banyule City County, VIC Australia to Hugh John Lecky Chambers and Margaret (Hawdon) Chambers, and had siblings Mary Heston Hawdon Gayer, Armyne Hawdon Chambers, and Florence Hawdon Chambers. He married Frances (Taylor) Chambers on July 14, 1886 at St. James Cathedral, in Victoria, and died at age 79 years old on December 15, 1934 in Kew, Boroondara City County, VIC. Ernest Chambers was buried at Fawkner Memorial Park, 1187 Sydney Rd, in Hadfield, Merri-Bek City County.

    The Argus. Melbourne. 19th December 1934. CHAMBERS. - On the 15th December, 1934, at the home of his daughter, Kew, Ernest J. W. Chambers, solicitor, Lieut.-Colonel of Victorian Military Forces, relieved in his 80th year, the dearly loved and loving husband for 48 years of Frances Chambers. Aged 79.
