Ernest William Powling of Port Fairy, Moyne Shire County, VIC Australia was born circa 1871 in Port Fairy to William Powling and Maria Lucretia (Ardlie) Powling. Ernest Powling had siblings Emily Leighton Powling and Frank Cecil Powling. He married Florence Maria Irvine in 1899. He would also marry Mary Florence Whitehead in 1904. They had children Jack Whitehead Powling and Ernest Brendon Powling. Ernest Powling died at age 71 years old on August 16, 1943 in Port Fairy.
