    From South Bend Tribune August 24, 1959 Erwin S. Kowalski, 42, of 727 N. Johnson St. died in Memorial Hospital at 4:30pm Sunday. He had been ill for about a week. He was an assembler at the Studebaker-Packard Corp. plant here, where he had worked for 17 years, and a World War II veteran. He was born in South Bend on Dec. 2, 1916, and was a lifetime resident. He married Victoria Przeradzka on Sept. 11, 1948. She survives with his mother, Mrs. Anna Kowaslki, South Bend; two daughters, Patricia and Barbara, both at the home; a son, Richard at home; five brothers Harry of Reseda Calif, Frank of Mishawaka, and Stanley, John and Bernard, all of South Bend; and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Morse, of North Liberty and Mrs. Dorthy Weller of South Bend. Friends may call in the Kaniewski and Son Funeral Home at 7 p.m. today. Services will be in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Sigmund A. Jankowski C.S.S., pastor of St STanislaus Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery.
