  • Introduction

    Esther was born in Canon City, Co. Attended a Teacher's College, and taught school where she caught the eye of F. Donald Addis, the divorced father of one of her students, Lorraine. They married and lived in San Diego where they welcomed their daughter, Donna L. Addis. When Donna was 6 mos. old, Don filed for divorce, married his secretary, Ruby, and they moved to Oakland, CA. Esther remained in San Diego where she managed rental properties and raised her daughter, later sending Donna to college at Stanford University. Esther remained in San Diego most of her life, and only moved to Canton, OH. to live near Donna for her final few years.
