Good afternoon,
I collect old journals, books etc. I found a journal I bought while I was in Oklahoma. I only bought it because I liked the way it looked. Old, worn and romantic. In it I found poems probably copied from two or three other poets, but what caught my eye were the poems at the very back. They were signed Etalea Unferth with a date - 1938. Can someone tell me if she wrote poetry and if so, is there somewhere I can see a sample of her handwritting to match it to the journal. Please keep in mind that I live in Greece, so everything will have to be done by computer. I was born in Oklahoma and this journal means alot to me for some reason, even though I have no connection to the family and I didn't even start researching it till now. If she wrote poetry and had some published, it could be that someone just copied it to the last pages of the journal. Maybe it was hers though (!) and somehow it came into my hands.
I hope I am not offending anyone with this e-mail since I don't know any of the family or her loved ones. I didn't know where to look though given the fact that I live so far away.
Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
