She had a sister Florence Madeline Schiller. She married John Cook Tainsh in 1908, and had children Dorothy May Tainsh, Joyce Tainsh, Reginald Tainsh, and Ethel Jean Tainsh. Ethel Tainsh died at age 79 years old on December 13, 1958 in Malvern, City of Stonnington County.
