Note: Although Lillie Ethel Taborn's year of birth with the Social Security Administration is 1887, her headstone says that she was born on February 15, 1885. Lillie or Lilly E. Tavender was born to "M. C." Moses Carroll (born 1846) Tavender and Vina Catherine Holmes. Both of her parents were born in Kentucky. She had siblings Irvin and Sallie Tavender.
