Eugene Conway married Clarice Gertrude Collard (1917 - 2007) in 1944 in Bendigo, Australia, and they had seven children, including Mary Therese (1957 - 1957), Catherine, John, Michael, Paul, Peter, and Gregory. A veteran of World War II, Eugene enlisted in the Australian Army in 1939 and served until 1948.
