Eunice E Hudgens of Tyler, Smith County, TX was born on October 13, 1915 to Jimmie Alice Jacobs Shaw and Thomas Kyle Shaw. Eunice Hudgens had siblings Nettie Mae Shaw Swinney, John Lee Shaw, and Wilborn Eugene Shaw. She married Oren Adolph Hudgens, and they had a child Jannifer Carolyn Hudgens Lively. She also married William Isaac Wynn, and they had a child William Isaac Wynn. She was the parent of Faye Iris Wynn Bodin. Eunice Hudgens died at age 83 years old on May 17, 1999, and was buried at Body left to Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.

In 1915, in the year that Eunice E Hudgens was born, The Birth of a Nation opened in February. A silent film, it was the most ambitious film to date and is considered a classic. Three hours long, it starred Lillian Gish and was directed by D. W. Griffith. The movie was based on the book The Clansman and told the story of two families (one pro-Union and one pro-Confederate) and their relationship during the Civil War and Reconstruction. The KKK was shown as "a heroic force".

In 1920, at the age of merely 5 years old, Eunice was alive when in September, a bomb exploded in the J.P. Morgan bank building in New York City, killing 30 people immediately - 8 later died due to their injuries - and injuring another 200. Killing more people than the 1910 bombing of the LA Times (the deadliest terrorist act up until then), no one took responsibility and the perpetrators were never found. Italian anarchists were suspected of the bombing.
