Eva Jane (Scown) Short of Burwood, VIC Australia was born on January 12, 1890 in Terang to Henry "Harry" Joseph Scown and Jane Corrie Scown. Eva Short had siblings Sarah Ellen Scown, Alfred Ernest Scown, Leska Scown, Emmeline May Scown, Victor Henry Scown, Gladys Olive Scown, Alice Maude Matilda Scown, Hurtle Julius Scown, Leslie Albert Scown, Herbert Gordon Scown, and Percy Scown. She married Norman Castlemaine Short in 1909. They had children Margaret Corrie Short, Henry James Short, and Irene Hurtle Short. She would also marry William Fergie Alexander in 1922. Eva Short died at age 84 years old on April 26, 1974 in Burwood.
