Eva was born into the Burgess family. Daughter of Henry S. Burgess and Addie Mae Miller Burgess. Eva married Orren Orville Curtis. She had one daughter Kittye Jo Curtis Evans. Eva had two sisters Margurite and Marie and two brothers Louis Henry Burgess (1911-1944-buried at Lake Village Cemetery) and James David (1917-1991-buried at Jonesboro Memorial Parl). Eva is buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden along with her husband and mother.

She had siblings Louis Henry Burgess, James David Burgess, Marie Burgess, and Marguerite Burgess. She married Oren Orville Curtis, and had a child Kittye Jo (Curtis) Wells. Eva Curtis died at age 89 years old on July 31, 1998.
