Eva M. Mitchell, 96, of Moline, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Aspen Rehab & Health Care, Silvis. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Sullivan-Phillips Mortuary, East Moline, with visitation from noon to 3 p.m. before services. The Rev. Gary Randol, Rev. Dan Mitchell and Rev. Richard Plunk will officiate. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Greenmount Cemetery, South 12th Street, Quincy, Ill. Eva was born Jan. 13, 1911, in Fairview, Kan., to Howard and Anna Roberts Traphagen. She married the Rev. Louis C. Mitchell on June 23, 1929, in Hannibal, Mo., and supported his ministry for 57 years. She was a member of the Apostolic Sanctuary (formerly Whole Truth Tabernacle) since 1988. They pioneered 12 home mission churches and lastly, pastored in Madisonville, Ky. They evangelized from the Gulf to Canada. She loved gardening, fishing, sewing, and cooking but, most of all, her family. Survivors (and spouses) include her sons, Charles (Shirley) Mitchell, Anna, Ill.; Marcus (Cleda) Mitchell, Columbus, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Gloria Mitchell, Colona; and 35 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Wayne; two sisters; one brother; and great-grandson, Dalton. Condolences may be left for the family at www.sullivanphillipsltd.com
