There is a record of a Evangelina Zuñiga Huerta born on December 22 1911 in Burgos, Tamaulipas, México whose birth was registered Oct. 17 1925 This Evangelina's father was Castulo Zuñiga and her mother was Margarita Huerta. There are also records that state that Evangelina Muniz's father was Geronimo Muniz and her mother was Josefina Ybarra (Garza) (name is from 2nd marriage). We can't find a date of birth for this Evangelina. But we know that she had siblings Beatrice Muniz and Josefina Muniz and half-siblings Celia Garza; Fidel Ybarra; Silvano Ybarra, Jr.; Jose Pepe Ybarra, and 5 others still living. We do know that this isn't singer Freddy Fender's (born Baldemar Garza Huerta; June 4, 1937 – October 14, 2006) mother. His parents were Margarita Garza and her Mexican husband, Serapio Huerta.
