Monday, 02 June 2014 June 2-- Mrs. Evelyn Hitchcock Soles, age 83, of Vidalia, died Monday, June 2, 2014 in the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Toombs County, was a homemaker, and was Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin D. Soles; son, Donnie Soles; grandson, Shannon Daniel Batay; parents, Bennie and Eunice Gray Hitchcock; and five brothers. Mrs. Soles is survived by four children, Dianne Self of Baxley, Debbie Gay and husband Dale of Vidalia, Delores Graves of the McNatt Falls Community, and Doyle Soles of the Normantown Community; daughter-in-law, Myra Soles; one brother, Jerry Hitchcock and wife Louise of the Cedar Crossing Community; nine grandchildren, Lisa, Brandon, Wendy, Jason, Tabitha, Brandy, Brad, Matt, and Ashleigh; twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 4th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00. Ronald V.
