Obituaries : July 2008 Evelyn T. Groux NEWMARKET, N.H. - Evelyn T. Groux, 84, of Newmarket, NH died Monday, July 14, 2008 at Rockingham County Nursing Home after a sudden illness. She was born March 28, 1924 in Derby, CT the daughter of the late John and Helen (Keenan) Comcowich. She lived most of her life in Virginia and her later years in New Hampshire near her family. She was a devoted nurse who was very proud of her career and spent many years working at The Virginian. She most of all loved spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and poetry. She was a modest but very talented artist and a life long, loyal Boston Red Sox fan. She is survived by two daughters, Jann Bova and husband Joseph of Durham, Elizabeth A. Groux of Smith Mountain Lake , VA, daughter-in-law Lizzie Groux of Newmarket, 4 grandchildren, Jay Bova of Colorado, Kimberly Olson and husband Mark of Hampton, Laura Groux of Oregon, Carolyn Groux of Newmarket, great-grandchildren Cloe Rose Olson, Hope Elisabeth Olson, and Ella Grace Olson of Hampton, four very loved sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Her brother, John F. Comcowich and sister, Veronica Comcowich and her son, John M. Groux, predeceased her. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008 at First Congregational Church of Hampton at 11 a.m. Assistance with arrangements was by Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH. www.RemickGendron.com
