SHROYER – Fay M., 88, of Salix, died Feb. 22, 2008, at home. Born Oct. 16, 1919, in Boyton, Pa., son of Melvin and Alma (Bowman) Shroyer. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Bill, Paul and Donald Glenn; sisters, Elaine, Leah, June, Wanda Gail and Mona; and infant son, William. Survived by wife of 59 years, Paula (Worrlein), whom he married Sept. 18, 1948, in Karlsruhe, Germany. Survived by brother, Bob, and wife, Joanne, and sister, Joyce, and husband, Dave Brewe, both of Ohio. Also survived by nephew, Rudolf Ferschke, Germany. He retired from General Motors and was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was present at the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Family receiving friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Pastor Don Eller officiating. Military service will be conducted by Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.ADVERTISEMENT BYLooking for more information?
