He had siblings Lillie, Eugennia or Eugenia, Maddie "Mattie", and Samuel Paquinett. Felix married Estella Allen (1898 - 1979) and they had six children, including Mary Lee, Eugenia, Nathaniel, Viola, and ElDora Packnett. When he was 43 and with 5 children at home, Felix was a longshoreman in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Five cars started but only three completed the race. It was won by Simone Federman who drove a Daimler Omnibus - his average speed was 9.6 mph.
