Flora Mary (Beare) Stringer of Kyneton, Macedon Ranges Shire County, VIC Australia was born in 1865 to Christina Spouse Beare and William John Beare. She had siblings Annie Beare Ives, George Thomas Beare, Ellen Beare Smithwick, John Alexander Beare, Christina Beare Gleeson, Robert James Beare, William Beare, Edward Beare, Henry Beare, Alfred Neil Beare, and Frederick Charles Beare. She married Robert John Stringer, and had a child Leslie Edward Stringer. Flora Stringer died at age 76 years old in April 1942 in Kyneton.

Actor and Confederate sympathizer John Wilkes Booth shot him 4 days after Lee had surrendered. The President died the next day. At almost the same time that Lincoln was shot, US Secretary of State William H. Seward and his family were attacked at home by another conspirator and Confederate sympathizer.
