My name is Helen Sonia Perkins nee Grundy. Florence Bongswon Krook was my mother's mother, my mother being Ethel Sonia Krook. I do not have any details of Florence life but there is a story in my family that she came from France having been married, widowed with three children from the first marriage. Florence married Peter Moss Krook and Ethel Sonia was their only child. Ethel later married George Grundy my father, they had 6 living children with 3 having died at birth or soon after. Ethel died in 1997. There us also a story that when Florence, I think her middle name was Elizabeth, came to Australia she got a temporary job gaming lions in a circus, but there are no records in circus history as far as I know. I am so excited to find her in records as I have been looking for years. I M aware she was born in Paris as Roman Catholic and married peter who was from sth Africa and was Jewish. I am Ethel Sonia's eldest living child.
