Florence Hardin Yantis was born Feb. 22, 1893 in Kiowa, Kansas and died July 29, 1968 in Santa Cruz, California. Florence married Edwin Yantis and in August of 1922 they opened STOLL MARKET, located in the Live Oak area of Santa Cruz. They sold the market in 1932 and retired to their Soquel farm. Changing owners throughout the years, it is currently being run as the "Chefs Mercantile Deli and Grocery" in the same Live Oak location that the Yantis' family originally opened.
