She had siblings Elizabeth Vivash, Ellen Vivash Taylor, Robert George Vivash, Isaac John Vivash, Albert Edward Vivash, Caroline Vivash, Alexandrina Victoria Vivash, Louisa Vivash, and Alfred Ernest Vivash. She married Thomas James Hillier in 1890, and had children Leonard James Hillier, Herbert Fred Hillier, and Vera Vic Hillier. Florence Hillier died at age 90 years old in 1959 in Surrey Hills.
