Frances was born in East Chicago, Indiana. Per census records her mother, Barbara (1886-1968) & father, Michael (1877-1955) were born in Yugoslavia/Croatia. Father immigrated in 1899, mother in 1900. They were married 22 Jan 1910 in Crown Point, Indiana. Her father worked at the Grasselli Chemical Plant in East Chicago, Indiana. Her mother took care of the house & was a member of the Rosary Sodality of the Holy Trinity Croatian Church & a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union of America in East Chicago, Indiana. They both are buried at the St John St Joseph Cemetery in Hammond, Indiana.

From all indications, Frances spent her entire life in Indiana.

Frances attended Holy Trinity Croatian church, East Chicago, Indiana. She was also a member of the Polish Women’s Alliance Group of St Casimir Church in Hammond, Indiana. Frances is buried at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Indiana.

At one time, Frances was a sewing machine operator in a pants factory per 1950 Census.
