Frances Lucille McBride, 87, of Lake Township, died suddenly Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City. Frances was the seventh of nine children born to the late Robert and Mabel (Mayhew) Hyzer on April 23, 1923. She grew up on a farm north of Pinnebog and attended Pinnebog School. She married Kenneth G. McBride on August 24, 1940 in Crown Point, Indiana. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1996. After marrying, she moved to the farm at 5406 State Park Road where she raised her family and lived until recently. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending the winter months in Texas. She is survived by her children Kenneth (Kathy)McBride of Kansas City, MO, F. James (Rita)McBride of Turner, OR, Carole (Stewart) Henry of Caseville, and Peggy (Victor) Schechter of Plano, TX; daughter-in-law Deborah McBride of Caseville; grandchildren Dana (Chris) Thayer, Jared, Jantsen, Carly, Dr. James (Chris), Alan (Julie), and Dr. Dan (Marcy) McBride, Denice (Kirt) Walton, Krista (Sean) Connors, Wendy (Mark) Bailey, Brian (Renee) Henry, Dr. Beth Ann (Dr. John) Faber, Nicole, and Aaron Schechter; step-grandchildren Josh (Dr. Anjana) Herrala and Marija (John) Knapp; 25 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Donald in 2006, and all of her eight siblings: Wilford, Mildred, Harry, Margaret, Peggy, ClaraMae, Robert and Don. Funeral services will be at 10:30 Monday, January 24th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. John Britt officiating. Burial will be in Grandlawn Cemetery.
